Terms
No warranty, use at your own risk
This site is provided as-is, free of charge. It is travel information, not professional safety advice, and never a guarantee. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties and aren't liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of this information. If your local law doesn't allow that limitation, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us: zero.
Community reports
Reports are anonymous and reviewed by a human before they change anything shown on the site. By submitting one you confirm it's your honest, first-hand impression, and you give us permission to use it (including publishing an aggregated form, like "3 travelers confirmed this month"). Don't submit private facts about identifiable people, and don't submit anything as a report you wouldn't want published. Deliberately false reports — especially ones that could route someone into danger — are the one thing we treat as hostile.
Privacy (the short version, which is also the whole version)
No accounts. No names, emails, or profiles. We don't log IP addresses or device details with reports, and report timestamps are stored only to the hour. If you submit a report, a random ID is created in your own browser's storage so repeated reports from the same browser can build reputation — it identifies a browser, not a person, never crosses devices, and clearing your browser storage erases it. We count page views in aggregate — no cookies, no identifiers, no individual profiles — so we know which cities are useful. Beyond that, we don't use analytics that track you, and we never sell anything about you, because we barely have anything about you. That's deliberate: for this community, the safest data is the data that doesn't exist.
Supporting the site
Dossier is free. If you choose to support it, payments are voluntary, you receive nothing in exchange, and they are not tax-deductible donations — Dossier is an independent project, not a charity. Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own pages: we never see or store your card details, and Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy. The charge appears on your statement as FIELDNOTE, not as the name of this site — deliberately, for your privacy. Support does not buy listings, removals, or influence over what we publish.
Adults
Some listings describe adult venues and sexual culture, factually and without apology. This site is intended for adults 18+.
Whose content this is
The listings, summaries, and the way this collection is selected and organized are ours (© Dossier). Community reports remain their authors' words, licensed to us as described above. The venues and events themselves belong to nobody's website — facts are free; our work assembling and verifying them is what this section covers.
What you can do with it
Use it, share links to it, quote a listing with a link back — that's what it's for. What we ask you not to do: bulk-copy the dataset, scrape the site, or republish substantial portions — including to build another directory or train a dataset — without asking us first. We're a small community project; the data staying trustworthy is the whole product. Want to build something with it? Ask — we're friendly.
Corrections and complaints
Something wrong about you or your venue, or content you believe infringes your rights? Contact us and we'll respond promptly: hello@gaydossier.com. Include what the issue is, where on the site it appears, and how to reach you.
The law where you are
Legality of venues and activities varies by country and changes. Knowing and following the law where you travel is your responsibility. We describe what exists; we don't advise you to do anything.
